Moving day is here!  Today is the day we close on our new home and are given the keys.  We can’t even begin to describe how excited we are for what’s next!

For those who know me, I’m sure you’re already chuckling a little bit at “The Giardinos of Sagebrook” and how it sounds like something out of a Jane Austen novel.  (Of course, that is what it sounds like to me!) I could get lost for days in a different time and place through literature and story.  I’ve always loved the kind of writing that calls back to a time when life was more formal, proper, and full of high society rules.  I don’t know how well it would work out in reality, but it was a fun place to dream.  In fact, in high school, Mrs. Wozniak had to forbid any further Jane Austen books as subjects for projects and reports to ensure I had a well-rounded literary education.

This journey, this life, feels like my own fairy-tale with all of the twists, turns, surprises, and magnificent moments. So, even though it may be silly, it’s just one more thing I’m relishing about this moment, this chapter in our story.

We are so looking forward to moving into our new home and becoming part of a community that we can already see will be full of fun and friendship. And, while a piece of our hearts will always long for warmer climes, we know we are right where we are supposed to be for now.  And so, we today we become The Giardinos of Sagebrook, and I couldn’t be happier.
