Tonight, as we were tucking our nieces into bed, Ansley read her devotional to us. It was based on Proverbs 16:9. It was a great reminder of our God who is in control and accomplished more than we could have planned for ourselves.
We’ve had a lot of twists and turns and things haven’t always gone quite to plan. But, as I take time to reflect, I’m so grateful for what was accomplished that I never planned. It seems I learn the most beautiful lessons when my plans fail or get turned upside down.
I’m grateful for the reminder today, even as our hearts hope, dream, and plan, that we are held and directed by a loving Father who knows and gives what’s best.
